It's another great chance for journalists all over the world to gather and deliberate on issues. I attended the conference in Toronto and much of it was well applicable and important. However I must say most of the speakers about investigations were mostly from the west where I believe the challenges of investigating are not as pronounced as they are in Africa. When you are talking about how to access data and in many parts of Africa is these records don't exist. I believe more Africa journalists with good experience should be given more slots to present at this conference.
Otherwise I hope all your preparations go well.

Thank you for creating chance for all of investigative journalists around the world to gather together. I'm sure that such kind of conferences much more useful for journalist - investigators especially from developing countries (as my friend Giorgi already menioned). Just several months ago with other 7 journalists I founded Investigative Journalists Network of Azerbaijan. And hope with participating Global Investigative Journalism Conference we will able to share experience of our colleagies from developed countries. Thanks!

The conference will be the graet chance for everyone. Especially for these who works in developing countries like Georgia. If I have a chance to be there I will dare to talk about difficulties while making investigative journalism, about fund rising and journalist's motivation!

Yes, this will be among our hottest topics.

Actually we will host something we call "speed dating" for investigative reporters, where you can meet colleagues working on the same fields as yours. In this way you can build a powerful network to pursuit stories that exceeds national borders.
